Vault Property:
When a subject enters Booking; wallets, credit cards, jewelry, keys and other valuable items are carefully inventoried, receipted, placed in a secure numbered bag and placed in a secure vault. The following items are not permitted to enter the facility:

• Weapons of any type
• Perishable items
• Tobacco products and any related paraphernalia
• Flammable items (lighters, cologne, perfumes, etc.)

Bulk Property:
Any items other than valuables that are stored in a vault, which will not fit in one of our property bags designed to accommodate a suit of clothes (shirt, pants, hat jacket, belt and shoes) will be considered bulk property. Residents have thirty (30) days to have a friend or relative retrieve these items. After this time period such items are disposed of in compliance with the Code of Virginia.

Unclaimed Property:
Any property left behind once an inmate has been released from our facility, is considered being abandoned and/ or unclaimed property. Such property will be disposed of after thirty (30) days. Arrangements can be made for all pick-ups of unclaimed property in accordance with the laws of the state of Virginia.
