Chesapeake, Va (April 22, 2022) – Congratulations to Deputy A. Bender, Deputy R. Conrad, and the 71st Session for graduating from the Chesapeake Police Department’s “Basic Police School” in April after nearly seven months of training! Deputies Bender and Conrad received their Law certificates, and sheriff’s badges, before taking the oath once again in City Council Chambers. Deputy Conrad received additional recognition as the recipient of the “Director’s Award.” Chief Deputy Lt. Colonel Christopher Pascal, Chief of Corrections Major David Rosado, and Chief of Administration Major Jenny Stafford were there to congratulate them. Once they complete their field training hours, they will officially be dual-certified in corrections and law enforcement! This additional training prepares our deputies to respond to anything while serving the community.
