On November 12, 2021, Sheriff Jim O’Sullivan appointed a new member to his command staff and promoted two others. Each of these individuals brings more than 20 years of knowledge and experience to their new roles. They’re tasked with overseeing their assigned sections in a way that fulfills Sheriff O’Sullivan’s vision for the future. We could not be more proud of their achievements!

Christopher Pascal, a 20-year veteran of the office, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As Chief Deputy, Lt. Colonel Pascal will supervise administrative and operational concerns across the entire agency. Command Staff moves at the Chief Deputy-level are very rare. The previous Chief Deputy was appointed 4 years ago. Congratulations to the recipients! We know you’ll make us proud!

Jenny Stafford was promoted to the rank of Major. She is the first female to achieve that rank in the history of the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office. She will bring her 25 years of experience to overseeing all administrative operations for the agency including human resources, training, purchasing, budgets, public information, our auxiliary corps, safety regulations, and special projects.

OT Holton was promoted to the rank of Captain; making him the newest member of Sheriff O’Sullivan’s Command Staff. Captain Holton will use his 24 years of experience to manage and oversee day-to-day operations in the Chesapeake Correctional Center.
