CIVIL ENFORCEMENT
The legal action notice may be in the form of a variety of legal documents, and must be served in accordance with the Code of Virginia. Some of the legal notices are capias, detinue summons/warrants, fieri-facia (writ), garnishment summons, show cause summons, witness summons, and protective orders.

CIVIL ENFORCEMENT DIVISION SHERIFF FEES
Note: There is no fee for serving a Preliminary Protective Order or Protection Order Advertising for a sheriff sale 75.00 Any out of state service 80.00 per defendant or per address of serviceThese are just a few of the many documents that The Civil Enforcement Division serves.
The Sheriff fees for service are $12.00 per person on most documents.
